In 2007 Andrea's two youngest children developed a sudden onset personality change that years later we learned was a neurodegenerative condition that local medical specialists did not recognize. Mentors across the globe in leading edge fields supporting brain health, inspired Andrea to learn more in a desperate race against time to help her children. In 2008, Andrea was one of the first physicians in Canada to learn neurological assessment skills known to Russian pioneers and a few allied health practitioner students of this method. These skills included restorative techniques that Andrea developed further in her clinical practice to successfully optimize cognitive, emotional and behavioral symptoms associated with conditions currently labelled as autism, ADHD, anxiety, learning disabilities, aggression, PTSD, seizure disorders, mental health and addictions, brain injury, stroke, dementias, and degenerative neurological conditions of childhood associated with infectious and autoimmune encephalitis such as PANS/PANDAS type illnesses.

Andrea's clients span the life cycle to include newborn babies to bubbies. Its never too early nor too late to optimize brain function. Early detection and intervention optimizes a child's overall potential socially, athletically, and scholastically. Neural optimization is also highly relevant to motor coordination for work safety and performance as well as athletic performance. As we age optimal neurology is key to maintaining quality of life in social relationships, independent living, and fall/fracture prevention.
